Ramona Meier is a student research assistant for Prof. Dr. Simone Pfenninger at the University of Zurich. She is currently completing her MA in English Literature and Linguistics with a minor in Modern History. Ramona is writing her thesis within the VARIAGE project with a focus on the causality between cognitive and socio-affective variables in second language acquisition.
Her research interests center around areas such as second language acquisition, psycholinguistics and historical linguistics. Additionally, Ramona is interested in non-standard varieties of English and their structure, use and value for speech communities.
