Ramona Meier

Ramona Meier is a student research assistant for Prof. Dr. Simone Pfenninger at the University of Zurich. She completed her BA in English Literature and Linguistics with her thesis titled “’If you ask me those questions in English, I could respond’ – An Analysis of Tense Unmarking in Chicano English Speakers of the 20th Century”. Ramona is currently studying for her MA in English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Zurich.

 

Her research interests center around areas such as historical linguistics, second language acquisition and sociolinguistics. Additionally, Ramona is interested in non-standard varieties of English and their structure, use and value for speech communities.
